This policy covers NewlyHomeowner.com, our email publications, and conversations with our NewlyHomeowner accounts on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. Our campaigns serve adults in the United States and Canada. The website has no accounts, login, comment system, or shopping cart, and you do not need to give us your email address to read its guides. This policy explains our website, messaging, email, advertising, and affiliate data practices and your choices.

Who operates this site

NewlyHomeowner.com is operated by 100k stadium, a business registered in Quebec, Canada, under Quebec enterprise number (NEQ) 2280079858.

Under Quebec's private-sector privacy legislation, commonly called Law 25, we are required to publish the title and contact details of the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

What we collect

When you sign up through our website: we collect the email address you enter. We send it directly from our server to Kit, our email service provider. Kit records the address, its confirmation and subscription status, which campaign form was used, and limited referral information such as campaign tags in the page address. We do not keep a second copy in this website or its application logs.

The signup uses double opt-in. Kit sends a confirmation email, and you do not become a confirmed newsletter subscriber until you use its confirmation button. The button brings you back to the public download page on NewlyHomeowner.com.

When you message us on Instagram or Facebook Messenger: Meta processes the conversation on its platform. We use ManyChat to organize conversations and send automated replies. We and these providers process the profile information and platform identifiers made available to us, the messages and attachments you send, your selections, and interaction records such as message times and interest tags. If you put an email address or other personal information in a message, it forms part of that conversation and can be processed by Meta and ManyChat.

We use these records to answer requests, provide guide links, remember your choices, and offer relevant recommendations, including affiliate offers. To join our marketing email list, use the website signup page linked from the conversation. Starting a chat, selecting an interest, or typing an email address in a message does not by itself subscribe you to that list. Please avoid sending passwords, financial account numbers, insurance documents, or sensitive household information in chat.

Automatically, through our hosting provider: the site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers keep standard web logs. Those logs typically record the IP address of the device making a request, the browser and operating system it reports, the date and time, the page requested, and the page that referred you. We treat IP addresses as personal information because Canadian and Quebec regulators generally do.

On the campaign signup, thank-you, and download pages: the Meta Pixel loads on /15-repairs, /15-repairs/thank-you, /15-repairs/download, /room-by-room, /room-by-room/thank-you, /room-by-room/download, /home-record, /home-record/thank-you, and /home-record/download. It tells Meta when one of those pages is viewed, when Kit reports that a new address was added to a campaign form, when a download page is reached, and when a PDF button is selected. A new campaign-form membership is not proof that the reader completed the later confirmation email. Meta also receives information ordinarily sent with a web request, including the IP address, browser or device information, page address and referrer, and identifiers stored or read through cookies or similar technology. We use these events to measure ads and build audiences for later advertising. We do not send the email address entered in the form to Meta and do not enable advanced matching. Meta measurement does not run until we have recorded an approved privacy posture for it, described in the release conditions of our internal privacy assessment.

The website Pixel also requires an ad-click identifier in the page address or a short-lived record of that visit in the same browser tab. That record lasts up to 30 minutes. A visit without either does not load the Pixel. This website limit does not prevent Meta from processing your activity on Instagram or Messenger. Meta separately processes ad views, clicks, and conversations on its platforms; we use the campaign and message engagement information available to us to understand responses to our campaigns. Permission to receive messages is not consent to every form of advertising tracking.

When you play a walkthrough video: each campaign landing page (/15-repairs, /room-by-room, /home-record) shows a short walkthrough video behind a still placeholder. Nothing loads from YouTube or Google, and no cookie is set, until you press play. When you do, the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's reduced-cookie embed domain, and Google receives your IP address, the browser and device information a web request normally includes, and identifiers stored or read through cookies once the player runs. We do not send your email address, or anything you typed on the page, to YouTube or Google. Google describes this processing in its Privacy Policy.

When you fill in Build Your Home Record: the PDF is a file you keep on paper or on your own device. NewlyHomeowner does not receive, upload, collect, or review the model numbers, policy numbers, contacts, dates, or other details you enter in it. If you choose to store the file with a third-party drive or PDF service, that provider's privacy practices apply.

The rest of the site does not load the Meta Pixel. We do not use a session-recording product or a separate general-purpose analytics service.

Why we keep it

We use the email address to send the requested guide or template, confirm the subscription, deliver the newsletter and occasional product recommendations, maintain unsubscribe choices, and operate the mailing list. Recommendations may include affiliate links. Form membership and referral tags help us understand which campaign produced a signup.

We use conversation records and interest selections to respond in chat and keep track of messaging preferences. Selecting an interest helps us choose relevant replies; it does not authorize unrelated marketing or the transfer of your chat history to an affiliate seller.

We use the website Meta events to measure whether advertising leads to signup and download activity and to create advertising audiences. Those website events never contain the email address entered in the website form. Messages you send on Meta's platforms are processed separately as described above.

Server logs exist to operate and secure the site: to diagnose errors, understand load, and identify abuse such as scraping or denial-of-service attempts.

How long it is kept, and where

Kit keeps the subscriber record and its status while we operate the mailing list. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery, but Kit may retain the unsubscribed status and email history so that the address is not added again without permission. You may ask us to delete the subscriber record, subject to any limited record we must keep in order to honor an unsubscribe request or a legal obligation.

We retain ManyChat contact and conversation records for the purposes described above and review them for deletion when no longer needed. Retention takes account of outstanding requests, the ongoing conversation, consent evidence, and records needed to respect a withdrawal or legal obligation. You can ask us to delete records we control. Stopping messages does not automatically erase chat history; Meta's own platform records and provider backup retention are governed separately by their policies and applicable obligations.

Meta controls retention of the information it receives through the pixel under its own policies and account settings. Browser cookies persist until they expire or you remove them. How long access logs persist is set by our hosting provider's configuration rather than by us. We do not copy or separately archive those logs.

The site is hosted in the United States, in Arizona. Kit, Meta, and ManyChat also process information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States, the European Union, and other locations used by them and their service providers. Those jurisdictions have privacy laws that differ from Quebec's. Our process for introducing a provider includes assessing transfers outside Quebec in writing and requiring appropriate contractual and security protections.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, trade, or rent newsletter email addresses.

Hostinger processes server logs in order to serve the site. Kit processes subscriber information to manage confirmation, delivery, unsubscribes, and the mailing list. Meta receives campaign-page and download events for advertising measurement and audience building; its use of cookies is described in its Cookies Policy. YouTube, a Google service, receives a request and the associated device and network information only if you choose to play an embedded walkthrough video on a campaign landing page.

ManyChat processes contact and conversation information to provide our automated messaging service. Meta also operates the Instagram and Messenger accounts through which you contact us. Its platform processing applies even when our website Pixel does not load.

Some United States privacy laws use terms such as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for advertising data flows even when no money changes hands. Our use of the Meta Pixel may fall within those definitions. You may contact us to exercise any applicable right to opt out. Blocking Meta in your browser or rejecting its cookies also prevents or limits collection from that browser.

Affiliate networks and sellers process referrals when you follow their links, as described below. Apart from these disclosed activities, we disclose personal information where a valid legal obligation requires it, such as a court order, subpoena, or comparable lawful demand.

Links to other sites

Our guides, emails, and messages can link to outside pages, including government and manufacturer documentation and affiliate offers. An affiliate link can pass through a network such as ClickBank before reaching the seller. The network and seller may process the referral identifier, page/referrer information, IP address, browser/device information, cookies or similar identifiers, and purchase information used to attribute a sale. A shortened or redirected link can involve the redirect provider as well.

We do not put your email address, chat history, or platform user identifier into affiliate URLs. If you buy from an outside seller, information you provide at checkout is handled under that seller's and its payment provider's terms. The destination and any intermediary have their own privacy policies. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commission relationship.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to withdraw consent, to opt out of certain advertising uses, and to complain to a regulator.

  • In Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec oversees these rights.
  • Elsewhere in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada oversees the federal private-sector law.
  • In the United States, several states grant residents similar rights. We honor verifiable requests from any U.S. resident rather than checking which state they are in first.

To make an access, correction, deletion, withdrawal-of-consent, or targeted-advertising opt-out request, write to privacy@newlyhomeowner.com. Every newsletter sent through Kit also includes an unsubscribe link. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within the period the applicable law sets.

You can also ask us in the conversation to stop promotional chat messages. Unsubscribing from email and stopping chat messages are separate choices; tell us if you want both stopped. We use the contact information needed to honor the request and maintain the relevant suppression records. To manage records Meta holds independently for its platform, use Meta's account and privacy tools.

Children

This site and newsletter are written for adults who own or are buying a home. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

The same adult audience applies to our campaigns and automated messaging. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, contact our Privacy Officer so we can investigate and address the record.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made silently.
